Club History Formed in 2001 Isleham United Youth is now a Charter standard Youth Football Club. It runs a coaching set up for the 7 and under and then teams at each age level through to currently under 15. There is also a girls sections which currently runs two teams at under 14 & under 15 level plus an Adult Ladies team competing in the Cambridgeshire FA Womens Football League Pitches Following excellent work by all clubs and the Parish council the new extension to the recreation field will be in use from Sept 07. This will see the bringing together of all pitches up onto the recreation ground, with the possible exception of the occasional use of the School field by our younger teams. Whilst the new playing surface requires more work it is ready for the start of the 07/08 season and is already being used for training. Affiliations Isleham United Football club is a long established adult football club with two Saturday teams that compete in the Cambridgeshire Football Leagues. IUYFC is linked to this club as a partner for the Village football well being and works closely with the clubs officials and players to maintain a harmonious relationship. Isleham Sunday Football club is a Men's team playing in the Sunday morning football league. IUYFC has strong links to this team and works well again with players and officials. Isleham Cricket Club is a very successful sports club in the Village, with a terrific history including reaching the Lords final of the National Village championship in 1977. Competing in the Cambridgeshire County Crick Leagues they run two adult teams and coaching and training for youths of all ages during the summer months. Once again with the proximity of the soccer pitches to the playing square of the cricket club IUYFC is delighted to have such a harmonious relationship with all at the Cricket Club Isleham Parish Council. IUYFC is linked to the local parish council via the community sports club which was established to help run the sports requirements of all clubs in the Village. IUYFC remains extremely grateful for the support of our local council and for the special care that individuals like Arthur Hurst and Ray Sheldrick take in their respective roles of looking after the recreation ground. IUYFC recognizes that we are indeed a very fortunate club to have what we have at the moment |
