Isleham United Festival of Football 7th - 8th May 2011

Isleham United Youth FC, which has 180 members from age 4 years upwards, is holding its 3rd Annual Football Festival on the weekend of 7th / 8th May 2011.

We are expecting to have 70 teams from Clubs around the County attend which will enable us to raise funds for the Club and to give some 500 children an end of season “celebration”.

The festival will be over the whole weekend, the younger age groups on the Saturday and the older teams on the Sunday (see below)

The Under 8s the tournament will consist of a non-competitive series of games. For under 9s and older, the tournament will consist of group games where the top two from each group will go though to semi-finals and then winners on to a final.

Tournament Rules

 

TEAMS MUST BE REGISTRATED BY 9.30AM.

MANAGERS MEETING AT 9.30AM

All teams will provide their own designated First Aider who’s NAME will be given at registration.

 

1. Competition Format

a) The U8s the tournament will consist of a non-competitive series of games.

No points will be awarded and there are no knock out rounds.

b) For U9s and older, the tournament will consist of group games

Where the top two from each group will go though to semi-finals.

Winner of one group playing the runner up of the other group

 

2. Group games: Three points will awarded for a win and one point for a draw. In the event of two or more teams achieving the same number of point, then goal difference will apply. If goal difference is the same then the result between the two teams will progress as the winner. If the result between the two teams is a draw then a toss of the coin will determine which team progresses.

3. Group games will 10 minutes one way, semi-finals and finals will be two halves of 6 minutes .A toss of a coin will decide ends.

Games will have a 10 minute interval between matches; it is the responsibility of each team manager to have their team on the pitch ready for the start of their game.

4. If the score are equal at the end of extra time in semi-finals, or finals then a penalty shoot as described below will determine result.

5. For penalty shoot outs, each team will take a total of five penalties alternately. The five players on the field of play at end of extra time will each take one penalty .If the scores are equal after five penalties then the game will be decided by sudden death penalties. The same five players from each team will take a penalty .No player can take a further penalty until each of those five has had an attempt.

6. All team squads will consist of seven players with roll on /roll off substitutes.

7. Each team must have a Change of Shirts or Bibs available in the event of colour clash. The first named team in the fixture list will wear bibs.

8. All age groups will be in accordance with season 2010/2011 in accordance with Cambs FA rules.

9. Trophies will be awarded to the winners and runners up of each age group.

 

Match /Game Rules.

10. Games will start and finish on the sound of a HORN.

11. Throw INS – normal way.

12. Corner Kicks, Goal Kicks, Free Kicks-in normal way .All direct, opposition must be at least 5 yards away.

13. Penalty Kicks –Maximum two paces. Taken from edge of penalty area, opposite centre of goal.

14. Kick –Off .Opposition to be 5 yards back from ball.

15. There are no height restrictions the ball can reach during play.

16. Goalkeepers

  • Distinguishable by different colour.
  • Can handle ball in penalty area.
  • May NOT handle ball outside penalty area.
  • Must roll ball out under arm below knee height when rolling out.
  • Goal kicks can be taken from anywhere in the area.
  • Back passes are allowed and may be picked up.

17. Outfield players are allowed in penalty areas.

18. Any player sent off will not be allowed to take part in the rest of the tournament.

19. THE REFEREES DECISION IS FINAL.

20. We support the Cambs FA “Respect” Campaign .Managers will be responsible for abiding by these rules and for keeping their team and supporters in a sporting manner on and off the pitch.
